In order to further improve the company's supplier management level and enable employees to better understand the construction of the company's supplier management system, on February 16th, Li Zhongjie, an internal trainer from the logistics department, conducted a special training on supplier managed inventory (VMI) knowledge. This training adopted an online and offline collaborative learning approach, with active participation from colleagues from various workplaces.

    In class, Li Zhongjie explained the necessity of VMI and introduced the basic ideas and theories of VMI based on actual work situations. Taking VMI logistics documents as an example, he briefly introduced the requirements of VMI.

Through this training, participants have gained an understanding and learned about VMI related knowledge, which not only broadened their horizons and enriched their knowledge, but also improved their cognitive abilities. The full name of VMI is Vendor Managed Inventory, which means Supplier Managed Inventory. It is an inventory operation model in a supply chain environment, essentially transforming multi-level supply chain problems into single level inventory management problems, compared to the traditional approach of restocking based on traditional user orders. VMI is a solution to market demand forecasting and inventory replenishment based on actual or predicted consumer demand and inventory levels. By obtaining consumer demand information from sales data, suppliers can plan more effectively and respond more quickly to market changes and consumer demand. Suppliers and other upstream enterprises manage and control the inventory of downstream customers based on their production, operation, and inventory information.
